Life has its own of way of telling us we are in deep shit, and nature has its own. It was close to midnight yesterday when I came across something that opened my eyes and reminded me there are simpler ways to stay connected with nature.
It was on my way back home from office in the company provided cab with close to eight others. In the process of dropping each one of them we reached a place which I really do not remember as I was busy listening to Absu. Something made me look out of the window and there stood a cow getting ready for action. Lifted its tail and gave me a sign of things to come. And before I could blink there was a spurt of shit accumulating on the ground. The freshness of the dung was roaring through the reflection of the street lights in it. Then I happened to glance at the sly cow’s candid face and noticed that air of relief. Pure!
When I tried to look at the snap and meditate in that tired condition I was picturing the map of an Indian state that would blissfully fit in the dung-frame and no points for guessing which state the above picture reminded me of.
Had I encountered this during the first week of March even I would have played the festival of colors. And at the same time would be doing my bit for nature, through nature. That is what I would call an Eco-friendly Holi. Apt!
