The pentagram is complete. Sick musicians Pathology who are bloody serious about drilling your brain with unmistakable death metal have done it the fifth time over. Another fine exponent of American death metal scene, Pathology cannot be ignored easily for other bands from the same genre. The tunes on Awaken to the Suffering are capable of lapidating the hearer as they combine heavy music with messages, and I agree with the band’s school of thought.

The tracks are brutal as fvck, groovy enough to make customers at gorepub dance to their macabre tunes and they even have patches for listeners who have a thing for solos on a brutal death album. Oscar Ramirez‘s bass would break all the eggs in your house, Dave Astor slaps the drum hard enough to make you forget your headache. Tim Tiszczenko and Kevin Schwartz come in from both sides of your ears only to realize Jonathan Huber is squeaking right in your face. Even the cover art is splendidly comprehensive.

Awaken to the Suffering would either make your stronger or would cripple you. Either way you can visit the Pathology department to figure out what’s wrong. But even there you’ll either find help or feel helpless. And now, you are trapped.

Welcome to the perverted, sex-worshipping, murder-encouraging, torture-loving world of American death metal preachers – Gorgasm. They have a way with the genre and they talk their instruments into producing elite brutality as anything they pour is full of gore.

Most tracks on Orgy of Murder attack whores without any relent and I can’t tell you how happy that makes me. There is nothing called as a bad track or an awesome track on Orgy of Murder because all songs on this one present the band strongly – considering the technical aspect and otherwise.

The album has two members providing delectable vocals, two members chasing you with their guitars that don’t stop riffing, a bassist who is already deep within your ears but wants to give you more and a drummer who wouldn’t let you relax either. The collection of eleven songs aren’t monotonous, neither are they occassion-specific. Just blast them…

The themes have gotten even more sick, to an extent wherein if you are getting killed or fvcked normally then you are plain lucky. I can already think of a lady to replace the slut getting screwed mercilessly on the album cover. Wow what a relief that there is a band giving true meaning to how many of us feel at times. How much ever we love women we are fully aware that there are always a few around us who deserve to sit in front of Gorgasm while they are penning down lyrics.

After listening to Orgy of Murder I am greedy for more of such pure stuff. Wherever these guys are headed with their music they sure know how to get their point across with their unpredictable brutal death metal terminology. Listen to this album else you might be Gorgasm‘s next song.

album review : Consider This (2011) – Exhumation

This is going to be an awakening, if not a revolution (which is happening in Egypt), for your jingle loving senses as you will no longer be able to play those looney tunes and say you heard extreme Indian metal. But still, if there is nothing that can make you feel attacked then you ought to Consider This.

(Indian band) Exhumation is back from the dead to make your troubles seem lighter as they cast a shroud of havoc over your dilapidated (and, possibly outdated) definition of brutal death. The first play would allow the songs to mingle themselves with the Exhumation tracks you already know of. In between trying to look for another Tandoori Chick, or maybe the next Oceans of Hatred it is the second play when the fun actually begins.

No intro nothing, the band is on it right from the word go. Sticking to a lot of blast beats, we see the guitar getting pulled like how we have always had on an Exhumation track. From All That Is to Blood Drenched Flags the degree of barbarism is seen going up, so is the mystery quotient. The title track (and, Absolute Power Now) have got these abrupt changes and shifts working in their favor.

Those waiting for a sequel to Racial Slaughter there are more than one on Consider This. You’ve got Black Plague and Worship Thyself which are groovy too, while there is Hell Forbid and Alpha Omega soaring high for their vocal appeal. Even the programmed drums do not allow me to cry foul, it is all in place. There is no mention of bass yet as I thought I’ll sum it up by saying P-man has been sleeping only with the best.

A plush production to go with totally smoochable riffing does not give you time to bemoan over anything. The average track length is around three and a half minutes, and that is how I enjoy this fierce genre. Plug, play, finish, next…

The songs are more or less an exclamation of self worship, triumph and hatred which, according to me, are the key topics holding together mankind. After hearing Exhumation‘s latest release you will find yourself back in a situation where your nipples become erect at the very sound of to-the-point death metal. Consider This tod-phod hai boss!
