The excitement to hear a new album could be due to any reason. Like it was Vomitory-cock sucking for their new album by critics across the world till I heard and provided my verdict here. American black metal band Krallice was new to me, but what caught my attention was their logo. 
I downloaded Diotima for wrong reasons silently whispering to myself that the cover art too has a story to tell. I go on to blast the album.
My first thoughts are not entirely in favor of Krallice. They sort of try and be epic but are let down by the evident confusion overriding their songs. They have the matter in hand, they have the concept to go with it but they lack the art of putting all of this together to create black metal. Doing anything differently does not guarantee you any success, similarly even though the musicians in Krallice are talented they haven’t recorded anything on their third album that I’d listen to the second time.
With a major chunk of the tracks timing over ten minutes I had no option but to forward a few minutes at sections where Krallice sounded repetitive. To my dismay they sounded the same even after I forwarded them. Now that’s another story. Diotima can be played while you are doing everything else that requires your attention except for the one thing that the album asks you for – your attention.
