Date : 29th October, 2011
Time : 6:30 p.m.
Location : Bangalore
Occasion : Metallica’s debut concert in India
Hey everyone, it’s Itihas again. In Bangalore right now. Exactly twenty fours after Metallica‘s Gurgaon event got cancelled and exactly twenty hours hours before the thrash carnival kicks off in Bangalore. I can only imagine the emotional stress the Gurgaon attendees had to put up with. My condolences to all the metalheads and posers from the nation’s northern part who had to go back home last night with the transparent liquid flowing out in abundance.
So I reached Bangalore yesterday with a broken back, and a wide grin. For a change, on a weekday, it was loads of sleeping till sunset, then old monk with a lot of greenery in tow. This time the grass was greener on our side.
Here’s how things look in Bangalore today. No sign of any event poster or hoarding anywhere, it has started pouring, the gig at Kyra is happening and things seem to be on track.
This evening there is Kryptos, Bevar Sea, Gorified, Dying Embrace and a few other Indian bands on the live playlist and at this moment all I can say is the scene is ON!
