album review : Worshippers of the Seventh Tyranny (2011) – Impiety

album : Worshippers of the Seventh Tyranny

artist : Impiety

genre : Death/Black/Thrash Metal

year : 2011

Singapore-based Impiety have got down to roaring about anti-christianty in a death/black backdrop once again. Recording their album for the seventh time, Worshippers of the Seventh Tyranny has Impiety doing what they have not done before. The entire album is just one single track which makes it a thirty minute non-stop whirl. They could not be silenced before, they cannot be silenced even now but the track shifts it’s shape midway giving a feeling as if the band is just going on jamming. Probably they could better themselves the next time they plan to record such a long track and call it a full-length. Worshippers of the Seventh Tyranny would have received the same feedback had this single track been cut into several songs. There is no doubt that Impiety has got the skill to play their genre but they certainly don’t seem stable with this new experiment.
