album review : Nachzehrer (2010) – Satanic Warmaster

album : Nachzehrer

artist : Satanic Warmaster

genre : Black Metal

year : 2010

Blessed be the only member of Satanic WarmasterSatanic Tyrant Werwolf, for keeping the whole thing about raw satanic black metal alive and I should be cursed for not having written about this record. Nachzehrer presents my favorite genre with in a way I’d love hearing it, and I have not remembered listening to such a wealthy new black metal album since the time I heard the last record by Sargeist. Oh Satan, this disciple of yours from Finland is doing a great job of providing displeasure to the other lot.

I’ll tell you how it is. Playing Nachzehrer in pitch darkness is a visit to your nearest cemetery, the gates to which would open automatically once you have strolled past the intro. Let yourself loose once you are in there, as Satanic Tyrant Werwolf brings on groove to go with the soul-shrinking riffs. Nothing can possibly go wrong because even Satan has given a thumbs to the tracks Warmaster Returns and Rotting Raven’s Blood. Of course Satan’s Werewolf is above the aforementioned songs. Utug-Hul is a black metal poem in motion. This poem, I love.

To put it simply, if you are a fan of Satanic Warmaster then you are cool. Nachzehrer is one of the coolest things to have happened in 2010. Go burn yourself if you disagree, while I declare One Shining Star as the song of the album on this fourth full-length by Satanic Warmaster.

Rating : 3.5/5

I’m glad to see a new album from Satanic Tyrant Werewolf. Do listen to Satanic Warmaster’s “Black Metal Commando” album, it’s ethereal. Check out STWs “Werewolf Records”, his own record label šŸ™‚
